Melanie Jayne Lynskey

Melanie Jayne Lynskey, born 16 May 1977 is a New Zealand actress. She is well-known for her funny, soft-spoken and tough characters. She is mostly in films that are independent. Her awards include her winning a New Zealand Film Award, an Hollywood Film Award and a Sundance Special Jury Award, as well as Gotham Award, Golden Nymph Award Critics' Choice Award as well as Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Lynskey was a teenager murderess, who made her film debut in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994).
