Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known roles include her roles in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara and The Darkness. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played part in a minor role on The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th 1979. She grew-up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began acting in various college, amateur professional and professional theatre productions. In 2001, she graduated with a degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and afterward, she pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow began her professional career on Broadway theatre and was a part of various productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, as well as the world premieres of off-Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was the star of the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised an original stage show titled Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps when they face diverse life circumstances.
