Mila Kunis Bio

 Mila Kuniz was born Milena Kuris on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi. Kunis, then seven years old, emigrated to America along with her parents Elvira und Mark Kunis. Later she moved to Los Angeles. It proved to be an uneasy beginning for the Kunis family that arrived in their new country with only $250 in their pockets. Kunis' parents gave up their jobs to move and were determined to give their children a better future. Mark was an engineer who worked in mechanical engineering, quickly was able to find work as a taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine, ended up running an entomology clinic. Kunis said that she didn't know the American culture upon her first visit to the United States. "I did not know anyone. I couldn't comprehend their language. My first sentence in my essay for college was "Imagine you're blind and deaf by age seven." It was kind of like being a newcomer from the States. It was easy to forget. Milena Markovna Kunis was born on August 14 in 1983, to Mark Kunis and Elvira in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. Her older brother is also hers. Her mother works as a teacher of physics and runs a pharmacy. Her father, who is a mechanical engineer by profession, doubles as driver for taxis. Her family is Jewish and her family moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven. Rosewood Elementary School is where she went to school. At nine years old, she started taking acting lessons. After auditioning for commercials in a variety of different spots and a variety of other commercials, she was a star in her first television appearance on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. In 1998, she got her first major role, in the role of Jackie Burkhart, in the hit sitcom "That 70s show". After receiving praise from the critics, she was cast in the character of Meg Griffin, an animated sitcom.
