Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Mixett is an Canadian actress best known for her appearances in films such as Apartment Hunting, â€Men with Brooms, and'The Tree of Life. Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in the area, she later relocated to Alberta where she finished high school. Acting was something she discovered during her teens. To further enhance her acting education she attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal as well as the Moscow Theatre School'. In 1996, she played an actor in the Canadian series titled "The Rez." She appeared in series like 'Forever Knight' 'Ready or Not?' and others that same year. Her film debut came in the late 1990s, with the film Papertrail. She then appeared in films like "Men with Brooms, 'Cypher', and others. She also played an actor in a supporting role on shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery and 'Blue Murder. She was still appearing in films through the early 2000s. However, her film appearances were less than her TV ones. In 1998, she played the lead role in the show 'Colleen Blessed' in the Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The series ran for 2 seasons and had 26 episodes. It received praise from critics and the public at large. For her role in the show she was selected as an Gemini Award nominee. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. She didn't disclose the name of her father or her son. According to some sources, her ex-boyfriend is father to her son. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett began dating in the mid-1990s. The couple got married in 1998. However, the marriage did not last long and the couple split in the year 2006.
