Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of media mogul, producer and singer Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Her older sister is Kidada Jones, and five half-siblings from her father's other relationships. Her father is African-American, and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from migrants to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was born into Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones admitted that Jones' mixed race parents were not acceptable to her during the 1970s. Jones began her debut as a professional actor in The Last Don in 1997 an animated mini-series, which was influenced by Mario Puzo. Also in 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University. She attended the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). The school was voted the most likely to succeed. Her name is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) for "Major adult, mature older or wise".
